Deirdre Gannon is the Vice President of Strategic Development for BioEnterprise. In this position, she leads the strategic and community initiatives for BioEnterprise. Deirdre is also the founder of the NEO Health IT Talent Initiative. The mission of the Health IT Talent Initiative is to build and to improve the local health IT talent pipeline so that it better aligns with the needs of the region’s vibrant health IT industry.
Prior to joining BioEnterprise, Deirdre was the Director of Strategic Planning for GOJO Industries. In this role, Deirdre crafted growth strategies, developed goals and business plans, and mobilized resources to execute these plans. Her passion is working with teams in developing compelling new insights for the most pressing business opportunities and issues; and then, translating these insights into actionable solutions.
With over 10 years of experience with both large and boutique management consulting firms, Deirdre has deep expertise in consulting methodologies, structured problem-solving, market research, and change leadership.
As a former director of a corporate innovation incubator, Deirdre is an accomplished technology commercialization leader. Over her career, she has worked with start-ups, middle market companies, and large corporations in a variety of sectors including healthcare IT, medical devices, consumer package goods, building products, and energy.
Deirdre also has a strong financial background, earning her CPA (E&Y) and an MBA with a concentration in finance (Weatherhead School of Management, Case Western Reserve University) and a B.S. in Accountancy (Miami University).
Experience has taught her that a company's ability to adapt and learn faster than its rivals is one of the few truly sustainable competitive advantages. Consequently, Deirdre is currently pursuing a Masters in Organization Development to build her competencies in this area.
